Founded in the year 1998, FPSA as a humble beginning FPSA was solely dependent on the financial assistances it get from local people of rural & urban area of Bishnupur Block & Bishnupur municipality. The progress of FPSA in the field of social work was of course a bit slow but it can be definitely termed as steady progress.
With the endeavor of local populace, every FPSA celebrate important days of Indian calendar that have great impact on social milieu. In continuance to this process FPSA had promoted Self Help Groups, which were formed with women of poor families, in the hope that it will lead them toward economic empowerment. It is a matter of proud for FPSA that on date we are having 286 active SHGs in Bishnupur block and municipality & in Chhatna block of Bankura district. From 2008 FPSA started getting privileged association of various state level and international organizations.

To develop consciousness about spreading of literacy in all form among tribal of target population by School/college going adolescent and youth. For Socio-economic empowerment, we will put all stress on SHG formation particularly for the populace of economically weaker section articularly tribal where our main targets are women and those men folks from tribal group who have no or little. To achieve AIDS-free population we put all possible stress on AIDS awareness and simultaneously on prevention of AIDS of our target populace of tribal, migrant workers & economically weaker section of society.

FPSA moved by the pathetic health condition of the Minority and Backward Community particularly women of reproductive age group, of the locality of Bishnupur Municipality area, tried to provide them basic health care and protection. In this process with co-operation of Kolkata Urban Services for Poor (KUSP) through their Change management Unit in June 2009, carried out a survey on the socio-economic condition of Minority and backward community of Ward No. 6, 7, 9 and 15 located at the southern fringe of Bishnupur Municipality.
